Most of us are really uncomfortable with the idea that we are powerful beings. Many times we give our own power away by needing validation from others all the time. We are afraid to make a decision, so we seek someone else's advice all the time. But once we start making decisions on our own and start seeing we are powerful in the choices we make, that we are capable of making a decision a whole new confidence arises.
When I was at my highest vibration and I felt so connected to everything and everyone I felt I needed to find a group that suited the new me I was feeling. I started going to mind and body shows, but each time I left feeling disappointed, almost depleted of all my power. I felt as if I was giving my power away and putting it in someone else's hands. They were telling me things that I didn't feel were true and although I knew their intent was good, I had to connect within me for long lasting confidence to get me through my whole life. I had to trust me, where I was heading, what I wanted to do. Why was I seeking this from others when I had the greatest source of all within myself. I had to connect to my spirit and trust that. Despite what others thought.
A good example of how fear can also take root. I shared a dream that both me and my son had about a comet breaking up in the sky. We both had it, but in the dream there was no fear just a fascination and wonder. Excitement, because it was far away, but a beautiful sky. I shared the dream on a dream board and someone said, "I feel this is a warning for you and your son" At first I thought that is ridiculous, but then the tiny seed started to grow in my mind and I thought, "What if she is right?" So, after only about a half day of this, I had this conversation with myself, "What did you feel initially?" I felt joy, something amazing. Then I heard, "Then why do you let fear begin to grow when you know better!" Then the thoughts of that being a warning were completely gone! I knew better and yet I was pulled towards it. But just with a conversation with my higher-self I was able to release it and trust my own internal knowing!!
You have the power, we are here to remember that power. You were born radiant and you were spirit first and foremost and you still are. This body is just the vessel you experience this realm in to add to the many facets of the shiny diamond that you are. When we are done here, we simply retreat from this body and we are back to our original vibration. Fabulous. So learn all you can while here, we take it with us. ;)
