Where's Your Happy Place?

There are times in our lives when we all need to just step back and breath.  Just find your "Happy Place"  and let everything else go.  One of the things that I really like to do is lay in my hammock outside.  I just love nature and so this time is so soothing, unless of course my neighbors are out making a bunch of noise, lol.  But I love looking into the endless blue sky, watching the squirrels chase each other up and down the trees.  This time really pulls me back to the present moment, my worries vanish far behind me.  I can take a better look at them and see them for what they really are and they don't tend to be as large as they were before.  It is good to put things into perspective.  Is it something you can change?  If not, change the way you look at it for the time being.  Accept where you are at this very moment and know that it is easier to go with flow, than it is to try to swim against the current.

Another thing I enjoy doing is turning off the TV at night, lighting my candles and just be with myself and my own surroundings.  I listen to some light meditational music, just breath and relax.  It is really good for releasing.  It is amazing how energy can get trapped in certain parts of our bodies as well.  Have you ever had that pain on your side, under your arm?  That is trapped energy, I enjoy doing my tapping as well with some positive affirmations.

Make sure you also include time with people that are uplifting.  How many of us know people that are always complaining, dramatic and just generally don't find much of anything good to say?  After you have left them, you almost feel as if you took a load of their energy with you.  It isn't that you don't care about them, but once you shift your view, you want to start looking at the good in your life.  It is almost like your dying to your old self, to who you used to be.  At one time in your life it might have felt good to complain and get carried away with the dramas of life, but now you have lessened the load, you have let go of what you don't like, now focusing on what you do like. Sometimes this pushes you further along in your journey and you find that things you once liked are no longer appealing to you.  So the spiritual path can sometimes be a lonely path as you are shifting in your perspective, your wants, your joys.  Your appreciation for life.  Just remember that everything that you gain is never lost, even if you feel the need to paddle back at times.  Sometimes we go back and forth til we finally just move forward.

Finding that "Happy Place" for you will ease this transition.  Listen to the wisdom within you, that voice of knowledge.  Within you lies a universe, a whole complete system of knowing and truths.  These are your truths and we are meant to get to know ourselves, so there is no more inner conflict.  Stay in the flow of what you know, watch your path open right up.

So where is your Happy Place??
