Imagine a jar

Imagine a jar.  The jar is like the mind.  Inside the jar is every emotion you have ever carried, every doubt, every fear and every limited thought.  Now this jar is very full, the lid has been sealed tight and thrown into a very deep river.  This jar remains submerged, it can't set itself free from its existence because the weight of the jar is so heavy.  It longs to be free, it wants to reach the top, to see the light, to flow with the current and see the bigger picture above the water.  It longs to see the endless sky, the many colors, the sun and to feel the wind once again.  But until the jar goes within and let's go of each of the emotions and thoughts that holds it down, it will continue to stay emerged in the deep depths of the water,  fully aware of what lies at the top, but can't rise up to reach it.  Suddenly it occurs to the jar that what it has contained within has to be set free, maybe that will allow it to rise to the surface.

One by one, it takes a look at each limited thought and fear.  It is sometimes a painful process.  It brings up old memories, old resentments, hurts and fears.  But as it looks at each one, the jar realizes that they are only thoughts.  They aren't the jar, they are not happening in the present, so why hang on to them.  Upon examination, each one is released, the jar gets lighter and lighter.  It starts to feel a joy and excitement as it starts to rise slowly to the top.  It can almost see and feel the freedom, the love, that awaits at the top.  It knows that the only reason it even sank was the limits and heavy emotions it carried within.  At last breaking through the water, the warm sun hits the jar, such freedom and joy.  It now moves with the flowing river, it sees the world as it has never seen it before.  It does not get tangled on the sides, the jar knows no matter how swift the river flows, or how much the weather changes, the jar is still the jar.  The jar allows what happens to happen, but staying detached as to the outcomes, it allows life to unfold.  Free at last.

When we are growing up, most of us feel we have to prove our worth, by something that we do or attain in this life.  We are constantly seeking for approval to validate love.  But we are worthy, we are love,  free to be expressed.  Unconditional love for who we are is always present, especially when we find it within ourselves.  Those that really love us, love us for who we are.  We are always surrounded by unseen forces that surround us, many of us can't feel it as we remain forever fixed in a box of limited beliefs, fears and worries.  Start to feel, do little things daily that break you out of that cycle, catch glimpses of joy that lies within.  Each day you will feel it more and more.  Watch what you are focusing on.  Ask yourself right now, "What do I spend most of my time focusing on?"  Realize you are the observer and master of your thoughts.

PS:  I know I jar would sink anyway, but I had a good visual with the jar, lol.  ;)

May you have a Wonderful and blessed rest of the week and weekend!!
