Joy is in the Now

Looking for joy.  Sounds great doesn't?  Some might say they don't know what would bring them joy and sometimes it seems like too much change to reach that joy.   Often times we get in this daily routine or rut.  We don't let our gaze sweep beyond our usual path and we seldom look up.  "Nose to the grind"  I guess they call it.  We are determined to reach some future goal and our moments are filled with a fierce determination and some distant prize.

Even though you may set intentions and goals; they should never take away the precious NOW moments you are having.  Take time to just gaze up at the stars, call an old friend, sit in the sun and just let your awareness rest around and beyond you.  Check your emotions.  How are you feeling?  It is important to find that inner-peace to reconnect and feel good about your goals.

No one will ever reach the end of their journey wishing they had worked more and taken less time to stargaze or watch the ocean tides go in and out.  Make time for those you love and don't take what means the most to you for granted.

When people were asked at the end of their journey what was their biggest regret, they found it wasn't what they did, but what they didn't do that came to mind most often.  It is hard task in our society to have that time because there is such a high demand to maintain and even to just put a roof over our heads, pay bills and taxes etc.  Making that time; makes life worth while.  It allows us to navigate more clearly what we really want out of life and find some peace and joy while doing it.

You do matter and finding time for you is paramount.  Lighten up and laugh.  Don't take life too seriously and take nothing personally.  Each of us are doing the best we can with what information we have.
